Discover our solar system!

The mystery of the universe, our solar system and its planets continues to tickle the fancy of humankind. Interest in this topic is only growing. In the media, there are increasingly more reports about new manned and unmanned space missions, for example to Mars.
New space telescopes are discovering more and more about the origin, size and characteristics of the universe and our solar system. We all, including young people, still have a lot to discover and want to find out more.

The Satellite Banner

The new Satellite Banner introduces pupils to the various satellites, space telescopes and spacecraft orbiting the Earth.
This banner also clearly shows the height at which these space devices are located – from the atmosphere to the exosphere and from the International Space Station to the James Webb Space Telescope.
In addition, the banner provides an overview of the satellites’ orbits and the difference in orbits between geostationary and polar satellites.

The fascinating space around our planet

This full-colour banner is an asset to any classroom. All of the information is presented in a clearly visible way, even from a distance. Feel free to leave the banner up in the classroom permanently or for several days after the lesson. This way, the fascinating world of space around our Earth will stick better with pupils and they will learn more.

What all revolves around Earth?

In 1957, the first artificial moon, called Sputnik, went into space. It was the Russians' first artificial satellite to be put into orbit around Earth. Since then, a huge number of satellites have been launched for espionage, communications, navigation and research. Besides the many space telescopes, the international community also has the International Space Station, with a constant crew in space for various research projects. Space does and will play an important role in our present and future society. Key applications include:
